Designated Driver

11:00AM CDT - 3:00PM CDT
Downtown Fayetteville- WAC Parking Lot

The Nutty Runner 5k will be making its return Saturday March 20th 2021, only this year we are getting NuttyER! 2020 was crazy and we want to move on and celebrate good times with good friends and good beer (masked up and socially distanced of course!)

Our 2021 race is being adapted into a downtown team scavenger hunt! Form a team of 2-4 people and be prepared to run a 3-4ish mile route (depending upon which direction you choose!) Solve riddles that will lead to various businesses downtown and expect 3 Nutty Runner Nut Brown Ales (by Columbus House Brewery) to be consumed along the way! The scavenger hunt starts at the Walton Arts Center parking lot, where it ends-you will have to see! (But rest assured that if you park downtown, you will not be far from your car!) Teams will need to designate 1 member to download and use Strava in order to be considered for overall prizes. Teams will have 1.5 hours to complete the course (this averages to about 22.5 min/mile-assuming the longest route of 4 miles).

For the more cautious souls who don’t feel the need to drink and run, there’s the Designated Driver division. But however you choose to participate, there will be additional shirts, and Nutty Runner merch available for purchase at the finish line. It’s a guaranteed good time for all.

Prizes: Overall awards for fastest Nutty Runner Team in all male, all female, and co-ed categories. Additional prizes will be awarded for non-competitive teams with the best team name, best team costume, longest route finished in the 90 min time limit, and more! In addition to awards, you'll also find surprise raffle items contained in clue packets! Also keep your eye out for a large Easter egg hidden along the course...

**State or Federal-issued ID required for check-in and must be kept on you at all times during the race**

Covid-19 Considerations: Covid-19 is still with us and we are still committed to providing the safest event possible. In accordance with state and city regulations masks will be required by all participants at all times, no exceptions. Teams will be assigned a start time from 11am-1250pm and the number of participants in a given time slot will be limited to 30 participants. We request you be courteous and remain 6 feet apart from volunteers and other teams. Part of your race day waiver will include language insuring our volunteers and participants are not contributing to the spread. Please be sure to read all and abide by all rules.

All proceeds benefit The Spark Foundation, a local Fayetteville nonprofit with a mission to create a positive impact in the community by providing increased access to health and fitness education and opportunities. Thank you for joining us in helping people of all ages (and paces!) build the habits for a healthy, active lifestyle.
