Description
Once the largest road race in Arkansas, the Capital City Classic 10K is back on it's way to the top! The event moved back to downtown Little Rock in 2022, and while the 2023 had to be cancelled due to a tornado, the 2024 race came back as strong as ever! We grew from 355 registered 10K participants in 2022 to nearly 1,100 in 2024 and we hope to see it continue to grow in 2025! Participants of all abilities are welcome, including walkers.
More information about the race and its storied history can be found at https://www.littlerockroadrunners.com/capital-city-classic-10k/.
Finisher Medals
All participants in both the kid's mile and the 10K will receive finisher's medals! The design of the 2025 medal is shown below and we will unveil the official medal in the weeks leading up to the race. Thank you to Kinco Constructors for being our Medals Sponsors again in 2025! Finisher medals would not be possible without their support. And thanks again to Ashworth Awards for designing an awesome medal!

Elite Athlete Program
The 2025 race will once again offer prize money! The top 5 male and female finishers will receive a prize purse of $6,000, with $1,250, $750, $500, $350 and $150 going to the top five overall male and females. Thank you to Blue Rose Physical Therapy and Blue Rose Running Co. for being our Elite Race Race sponsors and helping make this possible.
Complimentary entries and possible travel assistance will be provided to athletes that have recently demonstrated the ability to run sub 33:00 (M) or sub 38:00 (F). Interested athletes can send an email to capitalcityclassic10k@gmail.com for more information.
Kids 1 Mile Race
We offer a FREE kids race immediately preceding the start of the 10K at 7:30 AM. The kids race is an out-and-back course that goes over the Broadway Bridge, which will be closed to all traffic. Registration is open to anyone up to the age of 14 years old, and parents are welcome to run or walk with their child if needed. All participants will receive a t-shirt and medal!
Pace Team
We're one of the only 10k races out there that has a pace team to help you achieve your goals! Expanding on our 59 minute pacers from 2024, the 2025 race will feature five different pace groups of 45, 50, 59, 70 and 80 minutes. If you plan to be around these times make sure to be on the lookout for the pace signs. We have great teams setup that will not only potentially help you achieve a time goal, but will encourage, create camaraderie and add a lot of fun to the race!
Hotel Block
The AC Hotel in downtown Little Rock has discounted rates of $129/night from Friday, March 28th through Sunday, March 30th. The rates will remain available until the hotel block is filled. Located just steps away from the finish line and less than a 1/2 mile from the start line, it's the perfect spot to stay during race weekend!

Spectator Course
For those that aren't participating in the Capital City Classic, but want to be part of the action, we have an unofficial “spectator course” of less than a mile that allows you to see the runners at the start, finish and two different spots in between!
- Start at Markham and Broadway and watch the start of the race at 8am
- Walk 5 blocks east down Markham to Scott St to catch the runners just before the 2 mile mark.
- Head to Main and 6th which is about 4.5 miles into the race.
- Lastly walk a couple blocks to the finish area at Capitol and Louisiana.
Packet Pickup
Packets will be available for pickup from 10 AM to 6PM on Friday, March 28th at Rock City Running. We highly encourage participants to pick up their package the day before the race, but pickup will also be available on race day beginning at 6:15 AM.
