Frank Lagotic Marathon

Join us for a  simple marathon/half or two on a paved trail around Lake Willastein in Maumelle. There are no race shirts, no medals(at the moment), no entry fee, no complaining, not a Boston qualifier. and no expo. Just a simple marathon/half when races are hard to find in the middle of Summer.

In honor of Father’s Day, we will run in honor of our dad’s. The Frank Lagotic marathon/half will be free but we will be accepting donations for prostate cancer research and the Father's Day marathon will be accepting donations to be given to the Veteran's Memorial at Lake Willastein.

The marathon/half will start at 6:00 AM each day near the suspension bridge at the end of Lake Willastein Drive. Packet pickup will be from 5:40 AM til 6:00 AM eavh morning. Runners/walkers will get a bib and check in. 

The marathon will be a short loop of 1.1 miles and then 12 loops of 2.1 miles. The half will be a short loop of 1.1 miles and then 6 loops of 2.1 miles.

The course is a very flat, rail trail that hugs the shore of Lake Willastein with about half the course in shade. 

Each race will be capped at 25 entrants for the half and 25 entrants for the marathon.
