5th Annual Fans of Freedom 5K (LIVE EVENT)

                                                 LET'S GET READY TO RUN!! 

The 5th ANNUAL FANS OF FREEDOM 5K is super excited to announce that we will be LIVE and IN PERSON!!  Not ready to step out and run with the group yet, no worries, we are offering in person and a virtual race option.  We would love for you and your family & friends to come join us.  We believe this is going to be our BEST year yet!!     

This event will benefit the Arkansas Air National Guard 189th Airlift Wing Top III Council and 189th Heritage Association.  Both are non-profit organizations united in promoting moral and wing cohesiveness by actively raising and disbursing funds in support of wing programs, functions, and activities that may have a positive effect on the attitudes and morale of the Airmen. Our mission is to take care of our fellow Airmen, their families, and the communities around us.

LIVE Event Features:  Enjoy a cool, fall Arkansas morning on this beautiful, flat course running through Burns Park and along the scenic Arkansas River!  There is ample parking by the soccer complex, 2 water stops along the course, chip timing provided by Agee Race Timing, refreshments at the finish line, and GIVEAWAYS.  Each participant will be entered into a drawing for the opportunity to win a 65" TCL flat screen.  All participants will receive a super cool t-shirt and a finisher's medal.  Awards for overall top 3 males and females and top 3 males/females in the following categories: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.

RACE DAY MORNING!

LOCATION:  Burns Park Soccer Complex

DATE:  Saturday, 8 October 2022  

TIME:  7:00-7:45 - Packet pickup & on-site registration 

            7:55 - National Anthem

            8:00 - Race starts 

NEED DIRECTIONS:

Coming from Conway on I-40 East take Exit 150 and turn right onto W. Military Drive (turns into Championship Drive).  You will see Arlene Drive on your right, DO NOT turn onto Arlene Laman Drive, it will be closed the morning of the race for safety purposes!  Continue on Championship Drive (1.3 miles) through the golf course to Tournament Drive.  Go right onto Tournament Drive and enjoy the 1.3 mile drive through the park.  When you you see the sign for Soccer Fields 9-12 take a left into that parking lot.  There will be volunteers out helping with directions. Once you have parked proceed to the tents for packet pickup and the starting line.

Military Drive (turns into Championship Drive).  You will see Arlene Drive on your right, DO NOT turn onto Arlene Laman Drive, it will be closed the morning of the race for safety purposes!  Continue on Championship Drive (1.3 miles) through the golf course to Tournament Drive.  Go right onto Tournament Drive and enjoy the 1.3 mile drive through the park.  When you you see the sign for Soccer Fields 9-12 take a left into that parking lot.
