Description
The NAMI Arkansas 5K Run/Walk to End the Stigma raises funds for NAMI Arkansas programs that support, educate, and advocate for those affected by mental illness. It also provides a place to celebrate and honor those living with mental health issues and remember those with a mental health condition who have passed on.
This event is the single fundraising event hosted by NAMI Arkansas each year - consider adding a donation to your race registration.
NAMI Arkansas is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to help people living with mental illness, families, and the community. NAMI Arkansas operates a statewide organization providing and coordinating a network of local support groups providing support, education, and advocacy throughout the state.

The NAMI Arkansas End the Stigma 5K Run/Walk NWA is a 5K out-and-back route, starting and ending at the soccer complex. Runners and walkers will run east along the River Trail towards the golf course, where they will turn around and head back to the start line.
NEW: We will be doing a wave start for the runners and walkers. Those participating in the timed 5K will start at 8:30 AM. Those not participating in the timed event will start at 8:35.
Packet Pick-Up
This year, packets will be available for pickup Friday, September 18 from 11AM to 6PM at Rock City Running We highly encourage participants to pick up their packet the day before the race.
Race morning packet pickup will be available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at Burns Park, near the start/finish area.
Due to the anticipated high volume of traffic on race morning, we encourage you to arrive before 7:30 AM if you plan to register or pick up your packet on race morning.
In-person registration will be available at both packet pick-up and on race morning. Online registration will close at 11:59 PM on Thursday, September 17.
Parking Information
Parking is located near the start/finish area in the large parking lot near the soccer complex.
We suggest entering the park by driving down Arlene Laman Drive and turning onto Tournament Drive.
The yellow stars on the map show where the suggested parking areas are located. The green star is the start/finish area.
Finisher Medals & Prize Money
All race day participants will receive a finisher's medal as they cross the finish line. We will unveil the medal prior to the race!
Our top 3 female and male finishers in the timed 5K will also receive cash prizes.
First place - $100
Second place - $75
Third place - $50
Participant T-Shirts
T-shirts are included with your registration in the timed 5K Run or 5K Walk. The t-shirt design will be revealed at a later date.
Please note: You'll need to pick up your packet to receive your t-shirt.
If you need a size different from the one indicated on your registration, you may be able to exchange your shirt; however, this exchange is not guaranteed and will depend on availability.
