Description
Attention ALL Cowboys, Cowgirls, Cowpokes, etc! Join us at the Paris, AR Frontier Days for the SECOND annual first EVER 100 Meter Mosey! We will start at HIGH NOON on Express Street by Paris City Hall and end at the Logan County Museum (the old jail). The "race" will cover 100 meters!
The 100-Meter-Mosey entry fee of $30 gets participants a Zero K T-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and a race bib. Race entries will cut off on day of race OR after 50 participants are registered. All proceeds from the race will benefit Chapter 39 of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans). The mission of the DAV is to providing free, professional assistance to veterans and their families in obtaining benefits and services earned through military service and provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other agencies of government.
Awards will be given for the following categories:
Fastest: This one will be for First Place Contenders. Runners should bring their fastest run and try to set a "world record.” Runners will keep their own times.
Best Costume: Let's see those Frontier Day's costumes!
Slowest: This one, the Last Place Shootout, is for the slowest racer to cross the finish line while maintaining forward motion. This one is great for younger kids, pets and the laziest of runners.
Packet Pick Up - Friday 5Pm to 7PM at the Chapter 39 DAV office - 23 W Main St. Paris, AR 72855 OR 8:00 to 9:00 AM on Race Day at the Logan County Museum.
Participants must show race bib to get their medals!
