Held every Thanksgiving morning, our Turkey Trot for Heroes 5K is an exciting event that garners the full support of local runners, running organizations and our communities.
In addition to the traditional 5K run, we have a Wild Gobbler 5K (a 5K with 5 stations of exercises throughout the route dedicated to Fallen Heroes), a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, and a Virtual 5K which can be completed at any location!
We are proud to partner again this year with NWA Adopt-A-Cop! Proceeds from the race fund the programs of both nonprofits, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance and NWA Adopt-A-Cop.
NEW AWARDS! The Wild Gobbler has 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place for men and women, plus a NEW 13th Place Trophy!!
So many new and exciting things, and YOU can make a difference! Your participation will allow SDIA to help fellow Sheep Dogs Get Off The Couch and reengage in living active, meaningful and productive lives through our Outdoor Adventure, Warrior PATHH and Continued Service/Disaster Response programs. We are proud to partner again this year with NWA Adopt-A-Cop! They are doing many acts of kindness and assisting local law enforcement agencies around Northwest Arkansas. A portion of funds raised will also go to help fund their programs.
Run with us in the morning before heading home for pie and turkey! Don’t miss this opportunity to Get Off The Couch and help our nation’s heroes!
Packet Pickup: Wednesday, Nov 23rd, 5:00-7:00pm in the Boardroom of the Center For Nonprofits, 1200 W. Walnut St, Rogers, AR.
