Rise Physical Therapy Virtual Race Series
We all are missing races Rise PT included; so we thought this was a perfect time to host a Virtual Race Series while also announcing our new Rise Performance Lab. We want to give all our local runners a chance to test their fitness and hopefully help with some motivation to keep running during this difficult time. Rise PT will be giving away some sweet prizes( Video Gait Analysis, VO2Max testing, Massages, and PT sessions to name a few) to race winners while also having a weekly drawing for winners that participate regardless of race finish time. This is meant to be fun for everyone! You have a new race distance to run each week for 4 weeks.
You know what race distance we think is the worst most painful experience? You got it; 800 meters. That being said what a great way to test some speed at a distance we rarely go all out for. Here is your chance to compare your time to your old high school or college days, maybe try to beat your friend who's always bragging about how fast they run an 800, or maybe you are an endurance beast ready to show some people how it's done. Race must be completed 5/30-31st.
Rise Two miler: I mean seriously when is the last time you raced a 2 miler. Here's your chance! Race must be completed 6/6-7th
Rise 5k: You can't have a race series and not have a 5k. The 5k is such a perfect distance requiring speed and endurance to test fitness while also being a great goal distance to build up to for new runners. Race must be completed 6/13-14.
Rise 10 miler: Enough of the short stuff; it's time for some double digit miles. Here's the chance for some people to show off that speed for some bigger miles. We've seen what people can run 13.1 for now lets check on some 10 mile times. Race must be completed 6/20-21st.
Rules: Please no massive downhill and no treadmill runs. If you can find a track to go blaze some fast times then go for it!
Run them all or only run one, we don't care we just want to help people run. Rise will release results each week and will calculate an overall race series winner for males and females. The Male and Female that complete all 4 races with the lowest average finishing place will be the overall winner!
Please practice social distancing while virtual racing.
