Jerome Hill Climb is just like the name sounds – a challenging course that starts at the Jerome Historical Museum and winds up through the Jerome streets continuing on a dirt road past the Gold King Mine and ending at a gorgeous view of Sedona. Reminder: After the race you will have a 3.5 mile jog or walk back to your car.
Cost is $27 for non-members, $22 for ARR members. Your ARR member discount will show on your total during checkout.
Face mask use (covering mouth and nose) will be mandatory in the registration area. We encourage runners to have a mask for the return from the finish line to the parking lot, so that fellow participants can finish their event safely. Participants will be provided with a bottle of water for the run and to refill at the finish; no cups will be available on the course.
Our aim is to ensure a safe and fun event for all participants. Registrants are agreeing to abide by any changes needed to ensure the Jerome Hill Climb continues as a fun and challenging run!
Start and Finish Information
7 a.m. start for Hikers/Joggers (> 13 minute per mile pace – predicted finish time greater than one hour).
8 a.m. start for Runners – small group wave starts depending on predicted running pace starting with the fastest first.
Parking is limited in Jerome so we ask that you plan accordingly and give yourself enough time to park in the main parking lot and jog to the start line (approximately one mile downhill). There is absolutely no parking or dropping off at the start line. The registration is in the parking lot so you have to go there to get your race number.
Spectators are NOT allowed to drive on the course! The dirt road is narrow and dusty. Stop at the lot behind the firehouse and walk along the course to watch the runners.
