Description
This year is the 15th Anniversary of The Human Services Campus (HSC)! One of the ways we are celebrating is by hosting the second annual VIRTUAL Awareness Walk to End Homelessness to bring awareness to the issue and Campus services. Due to concerns over the new coronavirus, the Human Services Campus (HSC) has decided to change our event to a Virtual Walk. The Virtual Walk can be walked (or run) from any location you choose. You can walk, jog or run on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill at the gym or on the track. You get to run your own walk, at your own pace. Our goal is to continue to expand our number of registered virtual walkers, and use the registration fees (now “Suggested Donation” fees) for items needed by our clients, staff and volunteers to help prevent COVID-19. These items include:
- Personal protective equipment (gloves, gowns, masks, goggles);
- Cleaning supplies (including Clorox wipes);
- Supplies for hand washing stations – to have in several key places on and near the Campus;
- Access to public toilets for those who are unsheltered.
ABOUT HSC: The Campus is a 13-acre collaborative of 16 nonprofit agencies providing services to men and women experiencing homelessness. Services include intake & assessment, post office, identification, physical, mental and dental healthcare, shelter, case management, spiritual counseling, employment assistance, benefit applications, veteran services, homeless court, three meals per day, legal services and housing navigation. Please call us at 602-282-0853 for more information.
