Description

This free, non-competitive running and walking event takes participants through the beautiful desert landscape of Saguaro National Park West! A 4-mile run/walk as well as a 1-mile fun run/walk are offered. This event is part of the annual Beyond Events and is produced in collaboration with Beyond Tucson, Saguaro National Park, and Southern Arizona Roadrunners.

Event Start Time: 8:30 AM, Sunday, January 14, 2024. Please arrive early to allow time for parking along Kinney Road!

Location: Saguaro National Park West, 2700 N Kinney Road, Tucson, AZ

The event start is at the intersection of Kinney Road & Hohokam Road. Parking is along Kinney Road. Please plan to enter Kinney Road from Milewide Road, and to exit after the event, proceed to Sandario Road. Please do not leave your car parked along Kinney Road after the event. If you plan to hike or do other activities in the park afterwards, please move your car to a designated parking area before doing so.

Due to parking and trail usage concerns, this free event is limited to 300 participants.

The race course is an out-and-back on well-graded dirt roads. Participants that wish to run or walk with strollers should be aware that the roads may be rough in some places, therefore strollers with wheels suited to rough terrain are recommended.
