USS Arizona Memorial 5K

Description

On December 7, 1941, one thousand one hundred and seventy-seven Sailors and Marines were killed on USS Arizona during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. This year the University of Arizona Naval ROTC will host a memorial 5K accompanied by a memorial ceremony and an unveiling of the Coast Guard shield in the University's Student Union Memorial Ceremony. Proceeds will be donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10188 and support the University of Arizona Naval ROTC.

The timeline is to be determined but will consist of:

8:00-10:00 Run/Walk Check-in at Student Union Memorial Center
9:00-10:00 Coast Guard Shield Revealing at Student Union Memorial Center Rotunda
10:00-10:30 USS Arizona Memorial Ceremony at USS Arizona Memorial
10:30 USS Arizona Memorial 5K Run/Walk at University of Arizona Mall
