Co-Ed Team Scoring Explained
Here's how the scoring works:
Team Composition:
Your team can be as diverse as you want! There are no restrictions or minimums on the number of male, female, or non-binary runners on each team.
Scoring System:
We use a version of Cross Country (XC) style scoring. That means the positions in which your runners finish (across their respective divisions) translate directly into points.
Each runner's finishing place equals the number of points they contribute. For example, if a female runner from your team is the first female to cross the finish line, she adds just 1 point to your team's score. Similarly, a 10th place finish in the non-binary division contributes 10 points to your team's score.
Only the top 7 finishers from your team will contribute to the team score. It's all about the team's collective performance! Runners beyond top 7 can still "displace", meaning if they finish ahead of another team's scorer, their place will cause the scorer's place to be 1 higher.
The team with the lowest score wins!
