18th Annual Golden Gallop

Schedule of Events

• 7:45 am – 10k race starts
• 8:00 am – 5k race starts post 10k start. (no later than 8:15)

Kids Fun Run Schedule

• 10:00 am Start with the kids going off in waves based on age (youngest to oldest). See Kids Fun Run page for more details.
• NOTE: Kid's Fun Run will not start until 5K/10K race awards are completed.

Packet Pickup

• Saturday, September 21st - Packet pickup will take place at Runners Roost located at 2120 Ford Street, Golden, CO from 10am - 4pm
• Sunday (race day), September 22nd - pick up your packet at Golden High School beginning at 7 a.m. until the start of race 
• We cannot guarantee t shirt sizes the closer we get to race day.

Race Course

Look forward to running the same great race under the Golden Welcome arch with the START and FINISH at Golden High School. (Same as 2023) This year's Golden Gallop will start at Golden High School and lead it's runners on 5k and 10k loops through downtown Golden and finish at GHS.

Both runners and walkers are welcome!! Jogging strollers are allowed and encouraged but we ask that you start at the back for the safety of the child, as well as, the other participants.

 

The Golden Gallop is again welcoming well behaved dogs this year, yay!

 

Runners with dogs or strollers must start at the back of the pack.

Kid’s Fun Run

The Kid’s Fun Run is $20 and includes a kid’s size t-shirt (no timing chips) and a medal! Check out our Kid’s Fun Run Page for more information. (Fee goes up to $25 on race day)

Awards

We are offering $150 first place; $100 second place; $50 for third place. These amounts will be for both the male and female for both the 10K and the 5K (total of 12 cash awards). In addition, anyone who sets a new course record will receive a $100 bonus. Age group awards will also be given out for top male & female finishers.

Directions & Parking

To promote sustainability we’d like to encourage everyone to carpool, bike or walk. Parking is available in the GHS school lot. Please enter at the roundabout on Jackson St/S Golden Road. Additional parking on side streets. Avoid parking or driving on 24th street. Please abide by all parking rules and regulations as posted.
