Alaska's only 80 mile mix-tape town race returns with a heap of old favorites and some previously unreleased tracks. The 80-mile course begins with the Yoder-Montana Creek out-and-back extravaganza, before tackling "Noel Wein and the Three Mountains", some fresh northerly ATV trails, Bargeberg and the cool part of the Mastodon climb, some Whigmi ski trails and X-Y single track, the wild and wonderful Beaver-Comsat trail to Beaver Rd, before turning around for the blessed southerly run back to the finish. Of course, you still have the shattered grades of Old Lake Rd, another dose of swoopy ski trails, Woodpecker and Red Tail, the Spur and the Sunshine finale. Its not over till its over. For those preferring the short and scenic route, we are again offering the 25-mile option, covering just the initial out-and-back. Embrace the beast, or pet the doodle.

See below for map/route details. This is the route as currently planned, but  is intended for reference purposes only. Actual race-day course will be as close as possible to the one provided here, but may include changes based on real-time conditions. A confirmed GPX and additional resources will be released closer to the event, and a race-eve email will contain any routing wrinkles not well-captured by maps and GPX. The course will be well-marked with cones, pin flags and custom signage.

Hillside Grail - Grail Cup 4

Wednesday, July 9th @ 7pm

12 mile lap

The Grand Finale! Traversing the breadth of Far North Bicentennial and the Service ski trails, grailleurs will be put to the ultimate test of midweek endurance. Annhiliate hump day by smashing across a series of bumpy lumps. From Service High to Hillside Lighted, Gasline to the Tank Trail, plunge down the utility easement and stream across the new bridge spanning the torrent of Campbell Creek,  furrow the fresh gravel of  the Chugach Foothills Connector before hitting the pavement of  Campbell Airstrip Rd to the South Bivouac crossing point. From here you will rejoin Gasline, bearing south on the Besh ski trail and exiting onto Abbott Rd for the final dash back to Service. A fitting end to your seasonal grail quest. Carpe calicum.

Two or three laps depending on division.
