Who We Are
We are Run Life: runners, fitness aficionados, and outdoor enthusiasts. Our founder, Wayne Pacconi, is a pacer for more than a dozen full and half marathons throughout the Northeast annually, including the NYC Marathon. Wayne is an ultrarunner, most recently completing the Vermont 100 Endurance Run, a race director, and a community manager.
Wayne’s inaugural event as Race Director was the 2017 Baker’s Revenge Trail Race, partnering with Montclair Bread Co.’s running club, Fueled by Doughnuts, and drawing 300 registrants. This year we added an additional wave to meet the demand and nearly 400 participants took to the trails at the September 22 event at Watchung Reservation.
Following the event’s success, Run Life created a holiday-themed 10k race, Beat the Bumble, to celebrate trail-running and the spirit of giving on December 2 as well as a spring trail race at South Mountain Reservation to reflect our love for trail-running and tacos, aptly named Tito’s Trails and Tacos Race. Tito's sold out at 400 runners and once again was a huge success!
This is our newest inaugural event that will be a cross-country race for all ages, scheduled for September 1st, as we emerge from summer vacation and head into another school year and cross-country season. There are two distances - 2.5k and a 5k - from which to choose. Adults and children will share the course, as family members and even coaches and their athletes race one another to answer the burning question of “are you faster than a fifth grader?”
We look forward to seeing you soon and having you experience what makes RunLife events so great!
