How do I register?
- Please visit www.chiefs.com/gehafield5k to register online.
What is a virtual participant?
- Virtual participants can register to participate from anywhere and will receive their packets in the mail. Virtual runners can run any route they choose and upload results to Run Sign Up.
- Virtual registration includes the cost of shipping and all virtual packets will be mailed out within two weeks of the event.
- Packets will be mailed to the address you register under so make sure you use the address you want everything mailed to when registering.
Where is my packet?
- If you paid for shipping or signed up as a virtual participant, your packet will be mailed to you via USPS to the shipping address you designate during your registration. Your shipping information and a tracking number will come to you via email from Big River Race Management (noreply@goshippo.com). If you have any packet mailing-related questions, please email GEHA5K@brrm.com
I don't live in the United States, can I still participate?
- Yes, anyone is welcome to participate and can input their international shipping address during the registration process. Anyone residing outside of the United States will have a $25 international shipping fee added to the registration cost.
Where will the race begin?
- The race will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 10th, at The Pavilion at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. If you are participating virtually, you may start and finish your 5K at the location of your choice.
What time does the race start?
- The 1K kids race begins at 6:30 PM. The 5k will begin at 7:00 PM. We encourage runners to arrive early. Detailed instructions, including parking information will be sent to you via email during race week.
Where is packet pick-up?
- In-person packet pick-up will be held ONE DAY ONLY at Chiefs Fit 9290 Metcalf Ave Overland Park, KS 66212
- ALL Virtual packets will be mailed via USPS to the shipping address you designate during registration. There will not be an in-person packet pick-up for the virtual race
Can I register on the day of the event or after?
- Yes, you may register up until the start of the race. We do recommend you register much earlier for a discounted price.
Is there an age limit for younger runners?
- There is no age limit for runners. All minor participants will require a guardian's signature on the online waiver page. T-Shirt options include youth sizes, so please make those size selections during your registration.
Can I run with a jogging stroller?
- Yes, you may run with a jogging stroller. Children riding in strollers do not need to be registered. We ask anyone pushing a stroller to start toward the back of the pack so runners are not impeded by the stroller trying to start the race.
Are dogs or other pets allowed?
- Unfortunately, no pets and other animals are allowed at the GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K or 1K for the in-person runs. Service Animals will be permitted access per ADA guidelines.
Are there refunds?
- Processing fees are non-refundable. Registration fees may be refunded once a refund request is made, and the request is approved by management. Please email GEHA5K@brrm.com for any refund questions.
My T-Shirt or other apparel item does not fit, may I exchange it?
- Size exchanges will not be offered once race packets have shipped. All size selections need to be made prior to confirming registration and it is recommended to utilize the sizing chart below.
Is the GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K a timed event?
- Yes, this race will be a chip-timed event by Big River Race Management. In-person participants will be chip timed and scored via Athlinks based on their chip times.
- Virtual participants will submit their race results to the "2024 Virtual Results" results link on the home page of this website.
Will there be winners?
- Yes. We will have a special prize for the winner of each age group for the in-person run only. Age group breakdown and prize information will be on the registration website.
Can someone else pick up my packet?
- Yes. They will need to bring a printout of your email confirmation and sign for your packet.
