GENERAL
Everyone is welcome! The Bill Gregory Health Care Classic (BGHCC) is a community event open to all ages and fitness levels. You can walk or run at your own pace—come solo, with friends, or as part of a group.
The Classic includes three distances: a 10K, 5K, and 2K. All races begin near the corner of Broadrick Drive and Memorial Drive in Dalton, Georgia.
Registration rates are posted each season and include an Early Bird rate and a regular rate. Early Bird registration offers the best value—register early to save and secure your t-shirt!
The Bill Gregory Health Care Classic is held annually on the last Saturday in April in Dalton, Georgia. Race day begins with an Opening Ceremony and concludes with Awards and Closing Ceremonies.
The Classic celebrates our community’s commitment to healthy living and honors Dr. Bill Gregory—a beloved physician who dedicated his life to promoting wellness. Since its founding by Hamilton Medical Center, this event has become a cherished community tradition that continues to inspire healthy lifestyle changes.
BIB (RACE NUMBER) PICK-UP
Bib pick-up is typically available the day before the event and on race morning inside the Parking Deck near the race finish line. Check the event page for specific days and times.
Bring a photo ID or your registration confirmation email (with QR code). All participants must have a signed waiver on file; those under 18 need a parent or guardian signature.
RACE DAY
Yes! Awards are presented to top overall and age-group finishers in each race once all races are complete.
Yes, 2K participants 19 and under are eligible for youth awards.
Event photos are posted on Live4ItCommunity.org/BGHCC after the race—check back a few days following the event and look for the race year under “Previous Races.”
Broadrick Drive and surrounding roads near the course will be closed to traffic during the race for participant safety. Please follow posted signage and plan travel accordingly.
Free parking is available on the Hamilton Medical Center campus. Please follow event signage for designated parking areas or visit our website for details: Parking Options
Important Update: Parking and shuttle service are NO LONGER available at Dalton High School.
Yes, you can switch races for a small bib replacement fee at the registration tent.
For safety reasons, pets are not permitted on the racecourse.
REGISTRATION
Registration details and links are available each year through the official Bill Gregory Health Care Classic page on Live4ItCommunity.org/BGHCC.
Each registration includes a commemorative t-shirt and race bib. Shirts are guaranteed for those who register during the Early Bird period; quantities are limited afterward.
After completing registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Please keep this email for your records. You will need the QR code (printed or digital) for bib pick-up.
All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, as event funds are used to support community wellness initiatives before race day.

SPONSORS, EXHIBITORS, & VENDORS
Yes. Sponsor booths are available to qualifying sponsors during the event.
Booth eligibility is based on sponsorship level (Bronze or higher).
Sponsors may set up in the early morning before road closures. Setup and load-in details are provided in advance of the event.
Yes, though vehicles may not be moved during active race hours due to road closures.
Sponsors should bring their own display materials, including tables, chairs, and tent weights.
Sponsors may unload near the event site before road closures. Additional parking is available in the Hamilton Medical Center lots.
T-SHIRTS
T-shirt pick-up is available on race day at the designated t-shirt area.
T-shirts are guaranteed for Early Bird registrants while supplies last.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to mail t-shirts after the event.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer registration opens each season on Live4ItCommunity.org/BGHCC. You can sign up for a variety of race-day roles.
Volunteers should arrive early on race morning for check-in and orientation. Exact times will be shared prior to race day.
Volunteers will receive a BGHCC t-shirt, but you may choose to wear your own shirt. Safety vests will also be provided (if needed). Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. We encourage you to bring a snack, stay hydrated, and bring a chair if needed.
Free parking is available at Hamilton Medical Center. Details and maps are shared with volunteers before race day.
Volunteer assignments vary but may include assisting at water stations, registration, start/finish line, or course guidance. Assignments are provided upon check-in.
WEATHER POLICY
The race is held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather—such as thunderstorms, lightning, or high winds—officials may delay or cancel races to ensure safety. Any changes will be announced from the event stage and shared on the Live4ItJourney Facebook/Instagram pages.
Entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be deferred.
