Somersfield Academy Fun Run and Walk

Please join us Sunday September 29th for the inaugural Somersfield Academy Fun Run! There will be a 5K run/walk, 1 mile run/walk or for the younger children one lap of the field (approximately 400m) run.

All the routes start and finish on the Somersfield school field. The Somersfield Academy year group with the highest percentage of participants will be given a grub day. We encourage students to wear their Somersfield Academy PE shirts. Non Somersfield students and their families are also encouraged to participate..

This list of events are:

• Children's House 400m (age 3-6)
• Lower Primary 400m (age 6-9)
• Upper Primary 400m (age 9-11)
• Upper Primary 1 mile (age 9-11)
• Middle school 1 mile (age 11-14)
• Middle school 5k (age 11-14)
• Senior school 1 mile (age 14-18)
• Senior school 5k (age 14-18)
• Open 5k competitive run (18+)
• (Non-competitive 5k run/walk. (Children younger than 10 years old may participate in the non-competitive run/walk if accompanied by an adult)
• Adult 1 mile Non-competitive run/walk

Notes:

• For Children's House parents may run the 400m with their kids.
• Upper primary students have the option to do 400m or 1 mile.
• Middle and Senior School students have the option to do 1 mile or 5k.
• The minimum age to do the competitive 5k is 10 years old.

Schedule:

• 8:30 am 400m races (Each Race will finish before the start of the next)
• 9:00 am 5k start (Will start after the 400M Races are completed)
• 9:05 am 1 mile start

All event entries will close as of Midnight Saturday September 28, there will be no entries taken on Race Morning, so please signup before then.

NUMBER COLLECTION:

Saturday September 28th from 10am-12pm at Somersfield Academy main entrance next to the roundabout. 

PARKING

Parking is limited at the School, additional parking has been made available at Lindo's Market.

Please try to collect all race numbers on Saturday. 

• Sorry, but you must use a credit card that will work overseas to pay for any registrations
• PLEASE NOTE: FOR SAFETY REASONS STROLLERS ARE ONLY PERMITTED IN THE NON-COMPETITIVE WALK AND WE WOULD ASK THAT YOU START NEAR THE BACK TO AVOID ANY INTERFERENCE WITH OTHER PARITICPANTS.
• Please do not bring dogs to the Start/Finish Area in the interest of other participants.
