About our Event
Spinal cord injuries (SCI) can have life-altering impacts, affecting mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. In Bermuda, these injuries often result from accidents, leaving individuals and families to navigate complex medical needs and long-term rehabilitation.
We are raising funds to support Zhamir Denbrook-Pitt’s ongoing medical and rehabilitation expenses. In July 2023, Zhamir was involved in a horrific single-vehicle accident in Bermuda that left him with life-threatening injuries, including fractures to his cervical vertebrae (C3, C4, and C5) and severe spinal cord damage.
Our Family Fun Walk, Run, and Roll event is dedicated to raising awareness about SCI and supporting Zhamir, a young Bermudian whose remarkable journey of recovery continues two years after his devastating injury. Join us in showing your support for Zhamir — together, we can make a meaningful difference.
As September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, we aim to shine a light on spinal cord injuries and offer support to the many residents, visitors, and their families who suffer in silence with these conditions. This event also helps Zhamir and his family manage the astronomical medical and rehabilitation costs they continue to face.
