Description
Spinal cord injuries (SCI) can have life-altering impacts, affecting mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. In Bermuda, these injuries often result from accidents, leaving individuals and families to navigate complex medical needs and long-term rehabilitation.
We are raising funds to support Zhamir Denbrook-Pitt’s medical expenses. Zhamir suffered life-threatening injuries, including breaking his cervical vertebra (C3, C4, and C5) and sustaining severe spinal cord injuries in a horrific single-vehicle accident in late July last year.
Our Family Fun Walk, Run, and Roll event is dedicated to raising awareness about SCI and supporting Zhamir Denbrook-Pitt, a young Bermudian whose journey of recovery continues after this devastating injury. Join us to support Zhamir. Together, we can make a difference!
As September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, we want to shine a light on spinal cord injuries and offer support to the many residents, visitors, and their families who suffer in silence with these conditions. This event aims to assist Zhamir and his family with the astronomical medical and rehabilitation costs they face.
