Information
The Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon is a community-driven event hosted by Clarien Bank in partnership with the Bermuda Triathlon Association allowing young athletes of all experience levels, ages 3 – 15, to compete in a traditional swim, bike and run junior triathlon competition.
The 36th annual event is Saturday, June 13, 2026
•The timed junior triathlon race is for ages 7-15. Either a Racing Bike or BMX, Mountain Bike can be used.
•A fun Tiny Tots race for ages 3-6 follows the junior triathlon. A parent or guardian must accompany their child the whole way around.
•All participants must be age 3 - 15 on December 31, 2026. Children turning 7 or 11 before December 31, 2026 will be required to register in the next group category.
•Entry fee: Junior Triathlon (ages 7 – 15): $15, Tiny Tots (ages 3 – 6) $8.

KIT (race number) PICKUP
Early Kit pickup is Friday, June 12, 4pm - 6pm (Clarien Point House location, Hamilton)
Race Day Kit pickup will begin at 8:30am; the first race is 9:30am.
Ages 7-10
Race briefing: 9:15am (outside of transition)
Start racing: 9:30am
Ages 11-15
Race briefing: 10.15am (outside of transition)
Start racing: 10:30am
Tiny Tots:
Race briefing: 11.15am (outside of transition)
Start racing: 11:30am

SWIM
- Swim Cap (Iron Kids provided)
- Goggles (optional)
- Towel
Tiny Tots may wear buoyancy devices such as water wings; use any swim stroke; standing and short walks are allowed
BIKE
- Kids in any age category can choose to ride on a triathlon racing or NON-Triathlon racing bike.
- Classification: A NON-Triathlon racing bike is a standard mountain bike/BMX-style bike.
- Hard shell cycling helmet is mandatory
- Shoes are required
- Any two-wheeled bike in good condition is acceptable
- Tiny Tots may use three-wheeled bikes or training wheels
- Parent/guardian: please check brakes, gears, and steering before event.
- Aerobars are not allowed
- Participants will ride on left hand side of the road
- Race organizers reserve the right to categorize the bikes as they deem appropriate

RUN
- Running shoes are required
- Walking allowed
- Issued competitor number to be worn
AWARDS
- Top 3 Boys and Girls in each Bike Category (Racing and Non-Racing) for both 7-10 and 11-15 age groups
- There are no awards or scoring for the Tiny Tots Event.
11-15 IRONKID AWARDS
Top Male and Female competing in the 11-15 category in all bike categories will win up to $1,000 in an Iron Kids account
COURSES
