The Bermuda Triathlon Association is pleased to announce that this year’s  gnosis supported triathlon will be a MIXED TEAM RELAY at St George’s, King Square/Ordnance Island.

MIXED TEAM RELAY:  All Participants complete: 200m swim, 5km bike, 1km run 

Teams: Either MIXED or JUNIOR:

Each team for the ‘MIXED’ entry shall comprise of:

  • Two Adults (16+ years: one male and one female) and 
  • Two Juniors (8 to 15 years old one boy and one girl). 

Each team for the ‘JUNIORS’ entry shall comprise of:

  • Any combination of boys or girls (i.e. all boys, all girls, mixed)

If you are an individual and want to be placed in a team by the BTA race organisers then you need to email Preferably try and organize a team yourselves and register with RDW as we are limited to 16 teams of 4 due to Covid.


Format: Each team member will complete the swim, bike and run before tagging off to the next team member until all 4 team members have completed the race. Order for MIXED will be Junior, Junior, Adult Female, Adult Male. First swimmer to start in the water. 


Eligibility: Participants must be at least 8 years old on event date to participate. Age categories are determined by age on 31 December 2020. 


Team Categories: ‘MIXED’ and ‘JUNIOR.’ 



There will be lifeguards with safety kayaks/surfboards. The short swim course will be between Ordnance Island and the mainland in deep water. Accordingly, the event is open only to those children who meet the age restriction and are competent swimmers who are able to swim 200m unaided. Parents/Guardians will be required to certify swimming ability on the entry waiver. 



MIXED: 1st, 2nd and 3rd 

JUNIOR: 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Best running dive will gain team kudos and may make the newsletter!


Entry Fees:

• All Teams: $75 each


Race Day Times:

• ALL race number marking and sign-in at check-in from 8.00am;

• ALL bikes must be racked by 9.10am;

• Mandatory race briefing: ALL TEAMS: 9.15am in transition for all participants;

• Race starts at: 9.30am, 

• Manual Timing by ‘Bermuda Triathlon Association’ for finish times only. Team captain to have separate recording sheet for individual split times.

• Parking at Penno’s Wharf and at Market Wharf (See Run Course Map). Do not park on course.

Rules: BTA Rules will be observed. 

  • This is a draft legal race 
  • Road bikes and Mountain Bikes are permitted. Time-Trial bikes, aero bars, aero helmets and disc wheels are NOT Permitted 
  • No bare torsos after the swim
  • No ipods or headphones
  • No outside assistance
  • All participants must wear a swim cap during the swim (Swim cap NOT provided)
  • All participants must wear a helmet during the cycle leg
  • Bikes must be racked gently and securely
  • No bikes with training wheels for juniors
