The proceeds from this event will support both the Northville Educational Foundation and Novi Educational foundation. During registration you'll have the opportunity to donate directly to either the Novi or Northville Educational Foundations. Both are 501(c)3 charitable organizations. 

There is plenty of parking at the Football Stadium or at Hillside Middle School and use the pedestrian bridge to cross 8 Mile and walk to the stadium. There is a parking map under the Event Info tab. 

Packet pickup will be held on race day morning only. Race day packet pick up begins at 7:30 AM at the the Football Stadium, entrance closet to Cook School. 

Yes. Just tell us their last name during packet pickup, we'll confirm their information with you. 

Great question, NO you do not need to check in again. On race day morning arrive with enough time to park and head down to the start/finish area on the track.  Please wear your bib # on the front of your outermost layer. The timing chip is on the back of your bib #, please do not alter, fold, bend your bib # in any way. 

Your entry fee includes a T-shirt if you've registered by 9/27. We are offering youth sizes S-L, adult sizes S-3XL. Shirts are not guaranteed after 9/27. Register early to be guaranteed a T-shirt! 

YES, we have AWESOME finisher medals for both the 5k and kids dash. The first 250 participants are guaranteed a finishers medal for the 5k. 

Yes, NEW this year we will have a formal awards ceremony immediatley following the conclusion of the kids dash! 

For the 5k run/walk we kindly ask that you register kids ages 5 and up. If your child under age 5 would like a t-shirt and will be enjoying refreshments after the race then we ask that you kindly sign them up as well. The kids dash is for ages 12 and under. The kids dash is 1/4 of a mile, one loop of the track. All participants will receive a t-shirt if registered by September 27th.  

No, it is not timed. It's just a fun dash on the track.  Parents are welcome to dash with their kids if needed. 

Yes for the 5k run/walk. We ask that you line up in the back at the start of the event.

While we love all of these activities, we are limiting this event to running and walking only. The bikes you'll see on the course are course marshals and race volunteers. 

No. For the safety of the participants and the dogs, no dogs allowed. In addition our insurance policy does not cover dogs.

Sure, there's nothing like some good tunes while you run. We just ask that you can still hear and are aware of your surroundings.

Yes, the restrooms will be open at the stadium. There are no restrooms along the course. 

No, there is not water available on the course. Bottled water and snacks will be available after the race near the finish line. 

All participants will run/walk together in one 5k run/walk event. Register for whichever city you are supporting, this just gives us an idea who is running for which community. If you are divided between the two for example you live in Novi, but your school district is Northville sign up for whichever educational foundation you would support. If you live outside of Northville & Novi, thank you for joining and supporting us. You can flip a coin and register for whichever city, all costs/proceeds are split between the two. 

Congrats, we're excited to have you!  Plan on arriving on race day morning about 1 hour prior to the start to park, get your shirt and bib number, and get warmed up. Wear the bib (your race number) on the outermost layer on your torso, we provide safety pins to pin it to your shirt. Pin in all four corners so the number does not flap when you're running/walking. Prior to the race the announcer will call everyone up to the start line. The speedy racers will line up at the front, everyone else lines up behind them. If you are running with a stroller we ask that you line up at the back. The race will start and off you go! There are plenty of other participants and course support to guide you along the way. Refreshments will be available after the finish. We will text you your results, and also have a QR code for you to scan to pull up your results. Lastly and most importantly HAVE FUN! You will love the energy from the race!

We recommend starting out a little cold, you'll warm up quickly if you are walking or running.  If it's chilly a hat and gloves is always a good idea, and an outer layer that you can tie around your waist if you warm up. Lightweight breathable fabrics are best. Avoid 100% cotton as it absorbs moisture and will make you cold quickly. Dress for the weather and remember we need to see your bib # at all times and especially when you cross the finish line.   

YES!!!! We encourage participants to support the district you are running for and dress in school colors - Green/White for Novi and Orange/Black for Northville.  Get festive with it and HAVE FUN! In 2026 we are giving out the Most Spirited of Baseline Blitz award! 

The event will be held rain or shine, however if there are storms the morning of the event or forecasted during the event we will monitor and communicate any delays to participants via email. In the event of lightning, the event will be delayed a half hour until from the last lighting strike until we are 30 minutes without a lightning strike. Participants will be asked to remain in their vehicles during this time.  We will evaluate on race day if the race needs to be delayed or cancelled due to weather. If we have to cancel the race will switch to virtual.  Which means you run on your own at your own pace on a day that works for you. You'll receive your t-shirt, finishers medal and custom race bib. 

This event will be held rain or shine, there are no refunds for this event. As you can imagine there is a lot of planning that goes into an event and costs associated with the event. T-shirts, awards, refreshments, etc. all have to be ordered ahead of time. If the race is cancelled for any reason, including weather, we will be unable to offer refunds, or if your plans change and you already signed up we are unable to offer refunds. If we have to cancel the race will switch to virtual.  Which means you run on your own at your own pace on a day that works for you. You'll receive your t-shirt, finishers medal and custom race bib.
