Spectator Parking & Shuttles

NEW IN 2026.  THERE IS NO SPECTATOR PARKING AT ANY OF THE PARTICIPANT LOTS.
THERE IS NO SPECTATOR PARKING AT ANY PARTICIPANT LOT

All spectators are required to park at the Purple Lot located at Kent Island High School and Matapeake Elementary School.  (purple pass holders can park in either lot on a first come first serve basis.) There will be NO SHUTTLES to the finish line from any participant lot in 2026.  (Nor will there be any participant shuttles from the Purple Lot.)

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SPECTATORS

DUE TO SECURITY RESTRICTIONS, THERE IS NO SPECTATOR PARKING AT EITHER THE START OR FINISH AREA. 

YOU MUST PARK THE DESIGNATED SPECTATOR PARKING LOT AND RIDE A SHUTTLE BUS TO THE FINISH LINE. 

THE LAST SPECTATOR BUSES WILL LEAVE THE PURPLE LOT AT 8:30AM.  PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.  Shuttles will pick up from 6:30 am until 8:30 am and return from the finish area until 1 pm.  

SPECTATORS MAY NOT DROP OFF RUNNERS AT THE STARTING AREA. THERE IS HANDICAP ACCESS PROVIDED AT ALL SPECTATOR PARKING LOTS. 

WHO CAN RIDE THE SPECTATOR BUSES?

Anybody can ride the shuttles from the spectator lots to the finish area. After the race, runners may also travel on these shuttles with family to get back to the spectator lots.  There is no charge to ride on these buses. Participants wishing to start the race should NOT board a spectator bus from one of the designated event lots.  These buses DO NOT go to the start line.  There are separate Participant Shuttle Buses for participants only. 

HOW DO SPECTATORS GET TO THE START LINE?

Unfortunately, due to space limitations and security concerns we are not able to accommodate spectating at the start area on the Northrop Grumman property. Family and friends should NOT drive the participants to the Northrop Grumman property, nearby roads or Sandy Point State Park on race morning. Bay Bridge Police will monitor these locations and send all traffic back to Annapolis to the designated parking areas listed below.

WHAT IF I HAVE A MIXED VEHICLE OF PARTICIPANTS  & SPECTATORS?

If you have a mixed car of participants and spectators, you will drop off the participant(s) at one of the Participant Lots with a designated drop off location and park in the Purple Lot (Kent Island High School.)  PLEASE NOTE, the bridge remains OPEN throughout the event.  The race uses only one span of the bridge and two-way traffic runs on the other span. Spectators from the western shore will cross the Bay Bridge and park on the eastern shore.

After the race, your group of both spectators and participants can board the bus back to the Purple Lot and leave together in your vehicle.

WHAT SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED TO BRING 

Spectators will be screened prior to boarding the shuttle bus.  Please follow these guidelines.  All bags and persons are subject to search

Fanny Packs
Clutch Purses
Lightweight Strollers
Spectators are NOT ALLOWED to bring

Pets
Selfie Sticks
Back Packs
Glass Containers
Weapons of Any Kind
Costumes or Masks  (PPE masks ok)
Flags larger than 11" x 17"
Drones
Only the following type masks that protect the nose and mouth are permitted:

Surgical and Cloth masks (thin, soft, loose-fitting face covering held in place with loops that go over the ears)
N95 Respirators (cloth-like filter material; Convex in shape; fitted to provide a tight seal on the face)
Solid Colored Neck Gaiter style masks (fabric covering in the form of a closed loop worn around the neck that can extend to cover the lower part of the face)

Spectator Shuttles will pick up from 6:30 am until 8:30 am and return from the finish area until 1 pm.  PLEASE NOTE:  MAKE SURE YOU BOARD THE PROPER BUS.  DO NOT BOARD A PARTICIPANT BUS OR YOU WILL BE STRANDED WITH NO MEANS TO GET TO THE FINISH.  VIEW THE PARKING MAP HERE.

PARTICIPANT DROP OFF LOCATIONS
THERE IS NO DROP OFFS AT THE ANNE ARUNDEL FAIR GROUNDS (PINK LOT)  IF YOU ARE DROPPING OFF A PARTICIPANT, PLEASE DO SO AT ANY OF THE OTHER LOTS.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
 
Navy Marine Corps Stadium (BLUE LOT)


DROP OFF LOCATION: For those without a parking pass and being dropped off by friends or family or a vehicle with spectators, please use the designated Drop Off Location at the Graul's Market Annapolis parking lot near the corner of Taylor Ave and Rowe Blvd.  Participants will walk to the bus loading location at the stadium.


Anne Arundel Community College (GREEN LOT)


DROP OFF LOCATION: For those without a parking pass and being dropped off by friends or family please use the designated Drop Off Location at nearby Community College Road (north campus) Participants will walk to the bus loading location on campus.

Annapolis Exchange Lot (ORANGE LOT) 


DROP OFF LOCATION: For those without a parking pass and being dropped off by friends or family please use the designated Drop Off Location at nearby the Annapolis Dental Center. Participants will walk to the bus loading location at the Exchange lot.

Chesapeake College (RED LOT)

DROP OFF LOCATION: For those without a parking pass and being dropped off by friends or family please use the designated Drop Off Location at College Circle along north side of campus. Participants will walk to the bus loading location on campus.

Kent Narrows Center (GOLD LOT)

For those without a parking pass and being dropped off by friends or family please use the designated Drop Off Location at the center. Please go through the main entrance and around the shopping center loop. Participants will walk to the bus loading location.

SHUTTLES BACK FROM THE FINISH

The finish area for the race is located in the Chesapeake Bay Business Park in Stevensville, Maryland. School buses will depart from Log Canoe Circle adjacent to the post-race party zone every 15-20 minutes from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Each bus will be clearly marked on the front window and side with the lot destination so that riders know which bus to take.
