Yes, someone can pick up your packet for you, but they must have proof of your registration. This can be a screenshot or a printed document.

Race Courses
Yes, there are portable restrooms at the start and public restrooms at Indian Springs Park, where the finish line is located.
The 750m has a 30-minute mandatory cutoff. The 1.2-mile has a 1:10 mandatory cutoff. The 2.4-mile has a 2:20 mandatory cutoff.
Bags can be dropped at Pecan Bottoms, and they will be transferred to Indian Springs for free. Do not bring anything bigger than a small drawstring bag. We recommend writing your name on your bag so that you can easily find it at the finish line.
Yes, please email rachel@wacosports.org with the event you are currently in and the race you want to switch to. If the new event costs more, you will be charged the difference. If the event costs less, no refund will be available.
For safety reasons, athletes will not be permitted to increase their race distance within two (2) weeks of the event or on race day. This restriction does not apply to athletes who choose to switch to a shorter distance; however, switching to a shorter distance will not result in a refund.
The start of the 750m is Dorris Miller Dock. The start of the 1.2 and 2.4 is Pecan Bottoms. All races end at Indian Springs Park.
Swim Rules
Personal flotation devices or swim buoys are not allowed for the duration of the race for any of our open water swim distances.
Wetsuits are allowed on this course with respect to the following guidelines.
- Below 76.1°F: Wetsuits permitted
- Between 76.1°F & 88.7°F: Wetsuit optional - athletes can wear one but will not be eligible for age-group awards if they do
- Above 88.7°F: Wetsuits prohibited
The minimum age at which a participant can compete is 14.
No, you can not wear headphones or earbuds during the race.
General Questions
No, all sales are considered final. We do not offer refunds for any events sold through RunSignUp by the Greater Waco Sports Commission. This policy applies if the event is impacted or canceled due to weather, a natural disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances. However, you can switch events if needed.
You will receive a custom swim cap, drawstring bag, Dri-FIT shirt, and event medal!
There is no designated parking. Most parking in downtown Waco is free. It will be first come first serve.
19 and under, 20-31, 32-42, 43-55, 56-64, 65+
A golf cart ride to the start of the race, an exclusive bag drop area, and exclusive Beast of the Brazos merch that will be announced closer to race day.

Strokes & Spokes Waco Challenge
As part of the Waco Training Weekend, we have teamed up with the Waco Wild West bike ride to create the Strokes & Spokes Waco Challenge. Athletes who complete both the swim and bike ride have the chance to receive an exclusive medal! You must be registered for both races to be eligible for this challenge.
If you would like to take on the challenge, you will need to register for BOTH the swim and bike ride. During your bike ride registration, you will opt in for the challenge and be charged the medal fee. See the links below for registration!
You will receive your Strokes and Spokes medal after you complete the Waco Wild West Bike ride on Sunday, September 13th.
