Q: When is the 19th Annual Bolt Run?
A: Bolt Run 2019 is on Sunday, October 27th, 2019.
Q: What do I receive after I register?
A: Each registered participant will receive one ticket to a Lightning game*, Finisher's Medal, a commemorative Bolt Run shirt, and pre/post-race activities with food and beverages. Also, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Advent Health Care 360 Program via the Lightning Foundation.
Q: What are the packet pickup times and start times on the day of the race?
A: Bolt Run start times are as follows:
5:30 am- 7:00 am Day of Race Packet pick-ups / Day of Registration
7:25 am - Hand-cyclists/Adaptive runners
7:30 am- 5 Mile & 5k runners
7:35 am 5 Mile & 5k
8:00 am- Walk/Run
8:30 am- Award Show
Q: Are strollers allowed on the racecourse?
A: Yes. We ask that participants pushing strollers remain toward the back of the group of walkers as a courtesy to other athletes. You will be required to start with the walkers wave at 8:00 am.
Q: What is the race route?
A: The 5k and 5mile begin on Channelside at AMALIE Arena and turnaround on Bayshore Boulevard. Again this year, these races will end off Old Water Street, bringing all participants into AMALIE Arena for the finish.The Family Fun Run/Walk will begin at AMALIE Arena, go down Channelside Drive - ultimately ending inside AMALIE Arena for the finish!
Q: Can I pick up someone else’s packet?
A: Yes, you may pick up someone else’s race packet with their confirmation page.
Q: When are the packet pick-up days?
A: Packet pick-up will be Thursday, October 24th, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Friday, October 25th, 2019 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Tampa Bay Sports store at International Plaza. The Tampa Bay Sports store is located on the second floor across from the Apple Store just outside of Dillard's. Parking is available free of charge at the mall and the closest lots would be lot F or E near Dillard's. On-site pick-up/registration will be held during packet pick-up at the ReliaQuest Ticket Office at AMALIE Arena on Saturday, October 26th, during the Lightning game from 7:00-10:00 pm
Q: Are the t-shirts for Bolt Run gender specific?
A: Yes, we will have women and men’s t-shirts in an array of sizing. A size chart will be available soon. To change your shirt size log onto your account and manage your registration. Click here for more details.
Q: Can I purchase additional tickets to the games?
A: Yes, you may purchase additional tickets (pending availability) at the packet pickup times. Please contact Ben Salo for more information.
Q: Will there be day of registration?
A: Yes, day of registration will be open from 5:30-7:00 am. No new race registrations will be accepted after 6:45 am.
Q: How far is a 5k?
A: 3.1 miles
Q: What is a virtual race?
A: A virtual race allows fans that are not able to physically be here still partake in the Bolt Run. A virtual race does not include a ticket and packages can only be mailed within the United States. Your packet will include: a race bib, a gender-specific Bolt Run t-shirt, and a Bolt Run medal. You are not required to submit proof of race.
Q: Is the Bolt Run timed?
A: The 5K and 5Mile races are timed. The Family Fun Run/Walk is not timed.
Q: Can friends and family attend the post-race party even if they did not participate in the race?
A: Yes, friends and family are welcome to join and cheer while you finish inside AMALIE Arena for the post-race party!
Q: Where can I find the Course Map?
A: The course map will be available shortly.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: There are no refunds, transfers, or credits for this race. This event will be held rain, shine, or snow. Registrants cannot change race event once they have completed registration.
Q: Will there be race awards?
A: Every participant will receive a finisher's race medal. Additionally, for the 5 mile and 5K, the 1st place Male and Female finishers in each 5-year age category will receive a prize. We will recognize both the top overall male and female winners as well.
