Absolutely!! We LOVE when participants dress up—it adds so much fun and spirit to the race! 💕 Every costume helps show support for our local breast cancer patients, and the enthusiasm from our community is simply incredible. 🌸✨
Proceeds from Bras Across the CAUSEway support our Patient Assistance Program, providing direct financial assistance to breast cancer patients in Mobile and Baldwin Counties during treatment and medically necessary diagnostics.
Each patient completes an assistance application and must meet program eligibility requirements. We verify diagnosis with the patient’s local oncology team or social worker, speak directly with the patient about their immediate needs, and review eligible, verifiable expenses before assistance is approved.
Approved patients may receive up to $2,500 in assistance every six months and are eligible to reapply as they continue through treatment. Assistance may help with needs such as housing, utilities, groceries, transportation, medical expenses, and other approved necessities impacted by their diagnosis.
Your support helps us go beyond the diagnosis by easing some of the financial burdens local patients face long after October ends.
