PWH is committed to reducing medical waste! We collect unused medical supplies from local medical facilities and distribute them to local churches, food pantries, shelters and to countries in need. All of this effort is limiting the negative impact on our local and global environment.
Locally, PWH donates personal care items (i.e. toilet paper, linens, personal care products, dental products and humidifiers) to churches, food pantries, and shelters. Abroad, PWH organizes medical mission trips and ships containers of unused medical supplies and equipment to partner hospitals in need in Africa and Southeast Asia.
Partners for World Health offers educational opportunities for the community to learn about our international neighbors, their healthcare challenges, and how local community members are dedicating their time to make the world a better place! We are a 98% volunteer organization and were awarded the OUTSTANDING NONPROFIT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM at the 2016 Governor’s Service Awards for our work with individuals and groups from high schools, colleges, churches, camps and local businesses to reprocess usable supplies!
