ANAHEIM-4th of July-Red, White, & Blue... or BREW 5K ANAHEIM

Here's how 2020 Red, White & Blue or Brew is transforming to be a safe, physical RUN option for you...or a virtual option.  You GET to choose

Course is on the SANTA ANA River Bed.  Start and Finish just south of the Orange Country Register Building on Rampart.  (thisis one block south of Angel Stadium off the 57 and Orangewood.  Rampart is the first left (south) street west of the 57 where you see the Fire Academy structures.  Google 2190 S Towne Center Pl, Anaheim, Ca. 

If you want to come to Run it.. safely.. this is what you can expect.  The run course is on the Santa Ana river bed. We will have a person at the turn around point, right past Garden Grove Blvd handing out sealed water bottles only..  There is shade under the passes and a great view of Angels Big A on the return. It is a fun course. Relatively flat.   You will run out on the left hand of the run path and back on the right hand side in the bikers lane facing bikes.  There will be bikes on the course. And other public.  Respect distancing.  You are choosing to run this on your own, but we will keep track of course times to tabulate for division standings.  You will be given a chipped bib. Step on the mat and the start area.  And step on the mat at the finish. Course start times are anytime between 7:30am and 9:00am.  Awards will be announced at 9:30am.  We will have top three overall trophies and age division awards first to third. 

(Have somewhere else to get to?  If you wish, you can have your division award mailed by returning to the event registration and paying $7 to mailed if you leave before 9:30am.)

So, again. The start and finish are directly across from the Orange County Register building . 2190 S Towne Center Pl, Anaheim, Ca. 92806  But the parking is south of the building on Rampart.  Park and proceed to the CAREN WARE EVENTS van to get your bib, shirt, and finisher medal. Make sure you bring a mask and stand on the X marks as you proceed to pick up your materials.  Proceed across the street and into the River Bed park.  The start is on the upper embankment. Wait your allotted opening by standing apart.  This is a together-apart set up so continue safety practices for the health of the public. It is all we can offer until things become safe for group assembly and Angels Stadium is reopened. 

There is NO pre packet pick up.  If you want your BLING, we can mail it to you. Go back and add $10 for mailing.  If you chose virtual run, packets will be mailed out.  If you signed up before July 1 you will get the shirt and medal prior to 4th of July.

EVERY Sign up will get A RED,WHITE,& BLUE 5K SHIRT and a  FINISHER MEDAL.  Chose a Red, White, and Blue medal or Red, white, &  BREW MEDAL or the option of a STAY ACTIVE FINISHER Medal.  All are great custom designs. .  Proceed through the fence to the course start on the upper run trail of the Santa Ana River bike, run path. 

A  Special Caren Ware memento and motivation offering… to celebrate FREEDOM , AMERICA, EACH OTHER, and a Healthy start to your 4th of July.  BLING!  Custom designed and made shirts for all.  We cannot have Fife and Drummers, live band, games, but we can have a good ole American party run, walk and CHEER each other on together-apart.  

Awards:
There are “In It To Win It” age categories 3 deep with 5 year age spans:
1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over

PARKING:
Parking free.  Anywhere near the Start and Finish.  Across from the Orange County Register building on N. RAMPART St.,  2190 S Towne Center Pl, Anaheim. Ca. 92806 

Course: Santa Ana River Bed course.  Runs south and turns around right past Garden Grove Blvd after passing under the 5K and 22 Freeways.  Runs along a golf course and has return views of the BIG A at Angel Stadium. Start at assigned start times every 3 minutes from 7:30am to 9am. It's a club, spirit run.
MAKE an after event party at Golden Road Brewery or Karl Straus Breweries. Both open at 11am! . Family friendly !

Bibs, shirts, and medals will be picked up race day at the start parking lot.  Proceed to the CAREN WARE EVENTS VAN.

Attached is a google drive document recording time slot for our 5k participants.
Please choose your time slot between 7:30am -9:30 am on July 4th, 2020, fill in your name in one of the boxes highlighted in yellow.
The slots will be divided into 24 groups, 5 mins in between, 10 people per group. Spots are first come first served for those who participated in the 5k run.
Once a time slot is fulled with 10 people, please choose another available time slot.
