Description
The Annual Lightning High Altitude Running Camp/Cross-Country Camp is for youth and their families to camp at Camp Morning Star.
RUNNING
Running and training is at 6,500 feet of high altitude training.
Runners will run and train at camp. There will be some days that runners will be running two times per day to obtain optimal running conditioning.
Runners will be placed in a group based on age, running abilities, and experience. If your runner is not in shape, do not worry about it.
Runners will be running on trails, cement, up-hills, and down-hills.
ACTIVITIES
Runners:
Runners will be involved in active running games, mindfulness activities and arts and crafts. Runners will be involved in discussion groups to enrich their learning with running.
Parents:
Parents will be involved in workshops to learn positive parenting methods to support their runners.

-Gain running basic skills such as stretches, drills, and running pace.
