Join us for an exciting opportunity to compete in the Cal Poly Humboldt swimming pool and on the Redwood Bowl Track! This youth SwimRun event is hosted by the Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Triathlon Team. Participants can choose between two race distances: the shorter "Otter" race or the longer "Black Bear" race. 

In the Otter race, participants will swim 50 yards (1 lap down and back), followed by a transition outside of the South entrance to the pool. They will then proceed to run around the Student Rec Center (SRC) and down to the Redwood Bowl (this run to the track is approximately 0.25 miles), concluding with 2 laps on the track, totaling 0.75 miles.

For those in the Black Bear race, they will start with a 200-yard swim (4 laps down and back), followed by a transition outside the South entrance of the pool. Participants will then run around the SRC to the track, where they will complete 5 laps, totaling 1.5 miles.

Bib pickup will be available on race morning from 7:45-9:00 am only. All racers will be required to pass a 15 yard swim test and will receive a wrist band showing they have completed the test. The swim test will take place in the shallow area of the pool, starting at the stairs and will be conducted between 8:30-9:00 am. There will be a pre race meeting on the pool deck at 9:00 am for all racers before the start of the first wave.

Every participant who completes the race will receive a medal and enjoy post-race snacks!
