The 2020 Smokey Bear Run is a GO! We are excited to continue the Smokey Bear Run tradition. Only 150 participants will be allowed to compete so reserve your spot TODAY!
Due to new safety measures, there will be no kid races this year.
Join us at this Fun Family Event! Get your picture taken with Smokey Bear and enjoy the cool air and beautiful scenery. The Smokey Bear Run 10k and 2 mile run/walk takes place along the south shore of Bass Lake, about 50 miles north of Fresno, CA. The start and finish line is at Recreation Point. The course is on pavement and easy rolling hills out and back.

PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLES AT ALL TIMES!
-Parking is available near the start/finish area. START & FINISH is located at:
39900 Rd 222, Bass Lake, CA 93604
-Runners will be asked to line up 6 feet apart. Cones will be staged to aid with this and further instruction will be given to runners as they line up to start.
-We ask that participants stay away from the start/finish area until their designated start time.
-MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE START! PLEASE BRING A DISPOSABLE “TOSS’ MASK FOR THE START. THERE WILL BE TRASHCANS SETUP AT THE END OF THE STARTING SHOOT FOR RUNNERS TO THROW AWAY MASK AS THEY PASS ONCE THE RACE STARTS! NECK BUFFS ARE ALSO AN OPTION FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO WANT TO RUN WITH THEIR BUFF AROUND THEIR NECK. YOU MAY ALSO HOLD YOUR MASK WHILE YOU RUN IF YOU WOULD LIKE.
-Any bib changes(race distance or personal bib information) can be made at the finish line under the red results tent. We can change this information after you complete your race.
DURING THE RACE:
-BE SURE TO STAY SOCIALLY DISTANT ON THE COURSE(DO YOUR BEST)
-Stay to the right side of the road as much as possible. There will be two-way runner traffic so it is expected that runners will stay to the right side of the yellow lines.
-Runners around you might not be doing the same race distance as you, please be on the lookout for the 2 mile turnaround for those who are not completing the 10k.
-Water station will only have individual water bottles. You are more than welcome to run with your own fluids as well.
-UPON FINISHING, you will be asked to wear a mask. These will be handed out at the finish line by volunteers.
-Please be sure to remain socially distant at the finish and depart from the finish area as soon as possible.
-There will be a goodie bag for you to pickup as you exit the finish chute.
-There will be NO AWARDS CEREMONY. Awards will be available for pickup soon after the event day.
-Results will be available online ONLY. Check the “results” portal on the Smokey Bear Run page to view your results!
