5K Run/walk (for 18 and Under)
Join us for the fourth annual Bell Gardens 5K. Sponsored by the City of Bell Gardens, this race is flat and fast. For those aiming for a personal best time, this is the run for you.
City of Bell Gardens
The City of Bell Gardens was incorporated as a general law city in 1961. It is bordered by the City of Commerce, Downey, South Gate and Bell. The City has a population of approximately 44,000 in an area of 2.5 square miles and is located in the southeastern part of Los Angeles County.
The City boasts of offering beautiful parks, emerald green soccer fields, childcare centers, a sparkling lake stocked with fish and waterfowl, and a community golf course. Also, while the economy is facing many challenges throughout California, the City of Bell Gardens continues to grow and prosper.

Race Info
Course Description
The Bell Gardens 5K course is designed for fast times and is ideal for spectators. This two-loop course covers the flat, wide public streets of Bell Gardens. Participants will start at Veterans Park, on Perry Road. Then proceed toward Loveland Street around the north side of the park which includes shifting onto Suva Streets. Then north and south on Scout Avenue onto Florence Place. Runners will then turn right (north) on Perry Road where you will then start the second loop. Water stations available at the start of the second loop and after crossing the finish line. The kids half mile covers the perimeter of Veterans park.
Race Day Schedule
Kids Run: 8:30 AM
5K Run: 9:00 AM
Please line up at the starting line no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of your race.
Starting Line Rules
Pets on a leash and must start with their owners on the back of the line with the strollers and parents. Slower runners/joggers start just behind the front group.
Event Day Parking
Free parking around the perimeter of Veterans Park, 6662 Loveland Street,
Free Parking at Suva Intermediate School - next door to Veterans Park.
Runner drop-off at Perry Road and Loveland Street.
