Description
Run, walk, or wobble to better health!
Since 1981, Toiyabe Indian Health Project has hosted the annual Toiyabe Road Run in November. Against the spectacular mountainous backdrop of the Eastern Sierra, walkers and runners compete at the Millpond Recreation Area in Bishop, California, to raise scholarship funding for the Jill Kinmont Boothe Indian Education Fund. Kinmont-Boothe, an athletic superstar, became an artist and teacher and devoted her later adult life to helping children. Now deceased, Jill’s legacy lives on through a public school named in her honor and annual scholarship awards for college-bound local Native Americans.
This year the Road Run will be virtual so that you can safely participate ANYWHERE in the world while helping to raise money for the Jill Kinmont-Boothe Indian Education Fund.
A something-for-everyone event, this historic race boasts a short non-competitive 1k jog/walk, a 5k run/walk, and a 10k run.
Save the date for the 2020 run on Saturday, November 21!
