Join us for the 2nd Annual Thankful Paws Turkey Trot 5K/10K on Thanksgiving morning at beautiful Rohr Park in Bonita, located in Chula Vista.
This special Thanksgiving tradition celebrates the pets who have filled our lives with love, loyalty, companionship, and unforgettable memories. Whether you're honoring a current furry family member or remembering a beloved pet who has crossed the rainbow bridge, this event is a meaningful way to start your holiday.
Enjoy a scenic and fast course winding through the park and alongside the golf course, offering an ideal setting for runners of all abilities. Whether you're chasing a personal best, walking with friends and family, or enjoying a fun holiday outing with your dog, there's an event for everyone.

A portion of event proceeds will benefit Kane's K9s & Animal Rescue, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing abandoned, neglected, and at-risk animals and helping them find loving forever homes.

Doggy Mile Rules
For participants in the Doggy Mile, the dog must cross the finish line ahead of its owner or handler to receive an official race result. All dogs must remain on a leash at all times and be comfortable around people and other dogs.
Beneficiary
Proceeds from the 1 mile event will benefit Kane's K9s & Animal Rescue, a local nonprofit rescue organization serving animals throughout the community.

Course Info
Dog Mile
The Dog Mile will be the first event, honoring/thanking our present and past pets for being part of our life and family. Runners with your pets, please have a 3-5ft leash. Bring doggy bags and water for you pets. Be mindful of other dogs around.
Kids 1 Mile Run
Kids will be running 15 minutes after the Dog Mile. Parents can run with their kids. All kids will get a finisher medal.
5K
5K runners will do one loop around the course. Those runners/walkers planning to participate with their dog, please be aware of the 10K runners coming around the 2nd loop, stay on the inside of the course. Runners/ walkers with their dog may use the alternate trail course inside the park.
10K
10K runners will two loops around the course. 5K runners might be on the course towards the end of the course. To pass 5K runners/walkers, please do so on the right hand side and around.
