The Chico Spooky Shuffle- Presented by Chico Running Club (Draft)

Join us for some Halloween fun, Chico Running Club's Spooky Shuffle. Wear your favorite Halloween costume and enjoy a beautiful fall run in Bidwell Park. Race proceeds benefit Chico Running Club, celebrating our 50th year in 2025. Our programs include our scholarship fund and our non-profit mission to support running events and local runners in Chico and the North State.

Date: Sunday October 26, 2025 @ 9am
Location: Five Mile Recreation Area in Bidwell Park, Chico 
Parking: Five Mile Recreation Parking Lot or Hooker Oak Parking Lot

Course: Choose either the Monster Mile or a new Freaky 5k course from 5 Mile Recreation Area.
Freaky 5k Route: From 5 Mile Recreation Area head southwest back toward the intersection of Manzanita ave and Centennial drive, take the undercrossing and bridge to connect with Pedersen Memorial Way. Follow Pedersen down to the Forest avenue bridge over Big Chico Creek. Return back up South Park Drive, back under the undercrossing at Manzanita and return to Five Mile Recreation Area for the finish.

Registration, Bibs, and Timing: Registration will close the Saturday before the race. No day of registration will be available. Bibs will be given to all race entrants. Timing will be performed by Chico Running Club. Day of race bib pick-up will start at 8am at 5 Mile Recreation Area.

Aid Stations: One 5k aid station with water will be provided at the halfway point at the Forest Avenue Bridge. Water and snacks are available at the start and finish, park bathrooms are available at Five Mile.

Give Aways: All those who registered before Sunday October 12th and selected the shirt option ($15 additional) will receive a shirt at check-in.

Discounted Registration: To celebrate our 50th anniversary Chico Running Club Members receive 50% off race registration. Select the CRC  Team option at checkout. For non members please select No Team. Please do not register for the discounted race fee if you are not a running club member. You can join the club prior to the race at our website to receive the discounted registration. 

Kids Discount: All kids under 18 are eligible for discounted $15 5k registration or $10 mile registration. The discount will be applied automatically on checkout.

Prizes: Will be given for best kids and best adult costumes!

Refreshments: Drinks and snacks will be provided after the race. Please stay after completing the race to cheer on other participants as they cross the finish.
