Description

Folsom Lake is a popular destination for campers and boaters, but its appeal is accentuated by the lake-side trails that meander around much of the 75 miles of lake shore. Our Folsom Lake Trail Run utilizes these well-preserved trails along the south-eastern side of the lake: an out and back course beginning at Folsom Point, the trail then winding its way east, past Falcon Crest to the turn-around at Salmon Falls. This is one of our “flatter” courses, but there is still plenty of excitement and every race is as challenging as you make it. Our 10K, Half Marathon, 35K and 50K distances allow participants to select the course they’re prepared to tackle and can use this race as a check-mark to evaluate current condition.

Capacity: The Folsom Lake Trail Run has a capacity of 500 runners, across all distances.

Timing:  All races are professionally chip timed, utilizing MyLaps and Race Director, ensuring your time is captured as accurately as possible. Disposable chips are attached to back of each bib number.

Post Race:  We offer a broad selection of sweet and salty snacks, as well as fresh fruit and a diverse line up of pre-packaged food options (chips, cakes, jerkey, etc.). We also offer items off of the grill, which typically varies throughout the day and can include: quesadillas, chicken-apple turkey sausage, chicken noodle soup, and a vegan soup option.

Dog Policy:  Dogs are allowed both within the Folsom Point and the Folsom State Recreation Area. Pups must be on leash at all times in both parks. However, due to the out and back, mostly single-track course dogs are not permitted to run with you in the race.
