Description
USAG Fort Hunter Liggett (FHL) in conjunction with the 63d Readiness Division, Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (PRFTA), Camp Roberts, and USAG Presidio of Monterey (POM) will conduct a 250-mile ruck march to celebrate the U.S. Army’s 250th Birthday.
This will incorporate all 3 components of the U.S. Army. Active, Guard, and Reserve.
This event will begin on May 7, 2025, at 6:30am at Camp Roberts and travel through FHL, King City, Fort Ord National Monument, POM, 63RD HQ, and end at PRFTA (Camp Parks) in Dublin, CA on May 11, 2025, at 10:30am. The entire ruck march is 250 miles.
- Each LEG is 5-mile increments and starting every 2 hours
Check “Leg Info” Tab above for exact time and locations - Individuals can sign up for 1 or multiply LEGS (relay style)
- The march will be day/night.
***The Army Colors (Flag) will be passed on from each group to the next***
- Soldier must be in ACU, boots, patrol cap, and ruck (suggested weight 35lbs) Non-issued (OCIE) ruck/backpack must be AR 670-1 compliant.
Veterans and Civilians are welcome to sign up; ruck/backpack is optional and can be of any type. (No offensive or political clothing) - Minimum of 5 miles and/or more if you wish. Either same day or on different days and legs.
- Service Animals only, no tobacco, smoking/vaping, or alcohol during the event.
- Event staff reserves the right to refuse service/participation at any time.
- Google map link shows each leg and start times. Locations to park will also be listed and participates will be only shuttled to/from their assigned LEGs.
- One week prior all participates will be sent a confirmation email with shuttle locations and instructions.
- Please arrive to your designated parking location at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.
