Bring your family, friends, neighbors, colleagues — even your pets — and step into a day of fun, fitness, and community! 🐾👟

🏃‍♂️ Conquer the scenic 5K trail around Quarry Lakes Park! Teams, warriors, and solo Spartans of all ages and abilities are welcome to run or walk this adventure.

🎶 Celebrate the Spartan community! After crossing the finish line, enjoy a victory picnic, music, games, raffle prizes, and a silent auction. If you pre-ordered lunch, it’ll be ready to fuel your champion spirit. This isn’t just a race — it’s a celebration of courage, camaraderie, and the unstoppable Spartan community.

Race Packet Items

Race packet contents are based on registration date and selections made during registration.

Your race packet may include:

  • Race Bib
  • Safety pins to attach bib
  • Commemorative T-shirt (while supplies last, based on registration date)
  • Food Ticket (for participants who pre-ordered)
  • Columbia Employee Invitation Pass to the Columbia Employee store

Important Pickup Information

Please present a copy of your order confirmation and a valid ID at packet pickup.

You may also pick up a packet for another participant by presenting their order confirmation. You are responsible for delivering the packet to the participant.

Course

🏞️ Course
Packed gravel trails on a mostly flat loop course through Quarry Lakes. Not USATF-certified; distance is approximate.

🏷️ Bibs
Wear your bib clearly visible on your chest at the start.

🚶‍♀️🏃 Walkers & Runners
Walkers and runners follow the same course.

🚫 Not Allowed
No bikes, skateboards, or scooters.

⚠️ Safety
Stay on trails. Wear proper shoes and dress in layers.

🌿 Keep It Clean
Leave no trace; use trash bins along the course.

🐕 Dogs
Leash required. Please clean up after your pet.

Getting There

From I-880 in Fremont, take the Decoto Road exit east and proceed to Paseo Padre Parkway. Turn right on Paseo Padre, then left on Isherwood Way. Proceed to the park entrance on the right.

From Mission Blvd (Hwy. 238) in Fremont, turn south on Nursery Ave. (away from the hills) and right (west) on Niles Blvd. Turn left on Osprey Drive and left on Quarry Lakes Drive. Proceed to the park entrance on the left.

Parking

There are plenty of parking spots at the park. There is a parking fee at this park so please be prepared with payment.

The registration desk is located in the Ensenada South Picnic Area and there is a parking lot close to it. However if the lot is full, there is additional parking close to Niles Beach.

NOTE: Due to expected high traffic, please plan to arrive early.

  • Register early to receive a free parking pass! The pass will be included in your pre-race packet.

** Anyone registering after the early registration period or unable to pick up their pre-race packets will need to pay for parking at the gate, no reimbursements for parking will be made.

Other Amenities

  • Water stations will be located close to every mile marker.
  • First aid will be available at every water station and also at the registration/check-in desk.
  • The park has several restrooms that will be available for your use.

Finisher Medals

Your finisher medals can be picked up after the race at the designated finish line table.

Finisher medals are available while supplies last. We encourage early registration to help ensure availability.

Silent Auction and Raffle Basket

Annual St. Edward School’s 5K Run & Walk will hold a silent auction and raffle draw for baskets and will be held after the race.  Raffle basket ticket holders need not be present to win. If the raffle winner is not present, they will be notified via email and phone call within the week after the 5K.

This event is a volunteer-led school fundraiser and is not a professionally timed race. Our goal is to provide a fun, welcoming, and memorable 5K experience for everyone.
