Central California Unity Race

Mi Familia Vota along with Bi-National Health Task Force, is working together to put on the first ever “Central Valley Unity Run”. The Central Valley Unity Run will take place on August 5th, 2017 at Kearney Park in Fresno, CA from 7am-12pm. It is a fundraising event that will include: a 3K and 5K walk/run, a raffle, food from local vendors, live performances, and health screenings.  Race day registration will begin at 7am, and the run will begin at 8am.

As many communities are currently feeling marginalized and attacked for their differences, i.e. immigrants, LGBT, people of color, and so on, we want to bring them together to celebrate their diversity. This event will promote diversity and inclusion as well as promote health. Health screenings will include: blood pressure tests, glucose tests, hemoglobin, dental and vision screenings as well.
