Description
Experience the thrill of a true track event! The 5,000M run, often referred to as a "5K on the track," challenges athletes to complete 12.5 laps on a standard track. This event is perfect for both seasoned runners and those looking to try a track race for the first time—or for the first time in a long time!
This isn’t just a race—it’s a chance to support the Fresno High School Track Team, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the program. And the fun doesn’t stop with the 5,000M! We also offer an Open Mile Run and a 100-Meter Kids Race, plus a spirited 4x400M Relay to close out the event.
Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply enjoying the camaraderie of the running community, this event has something for everyone!
Amenities
- All finishers will enjoy hot chocolate and sweet bread/cookies.
- Official timing provided with bib numbers—perfect for serious competitors or those tracking their progress.
- Compete for points! The 5,000M Run is a 30-point Central Valley Runner of the Year Series event.

Date: Saturday, February 1st
- 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Bib pick-up and race-day registration.
- 9:00 AM: Mile Run
- 9:30 AM: 100-Meter Kids Race
- 9:40 AM: 5,000M Run
- 10:15 AM: 4x400M Relay
Additional Details
- Location: Fresno High School Track. Please enter through the small gate at Palm/Weldon.
- Parking: Available near the tennis courts/swimming pool on Weldon, near Palm.
- Restrooms: Fresno High School campus restrooms will be open.
