Welcome to the 16th annual Freedom Run!  On-line registration is closed!  You can still register July 3rd from 2 to 6 at Fleet Feet at the corner of Ft Washington and Friant!

This 4 mile course represents the 4th of July, 4 miles on the 4th. Adding to the unique distance involved is the pristine setting of Woodward Park and the River Loop. Also we have a 2 mile run/walk and the little fire cracker kids race. The American Flag lined courses should inspire runners and walkers to give that extra effort in crossing the finish line and to enjoy the start of this great American holiday with friends, family, and other competitors.  The first race begins at 7:00am.

Please NOTE! We will be using the same Woodward Park shelter as last year - Sunset View Shelter. The Sunset View Shelter will be the first shelter using the LEFT road as you enter Woodward Park off of Audubon.

Special Rate! Children 9 and under receive $20 entry fee automatically during registration.

The 16th Freedom Run is presented by Sierra Challenge EXPRESS Running Club!

Special Guest

The Freedom Run is honored to welcome KMJ's Home Town Hero's host Paul Loeffler at the 2018 Freedom Run.  Paul will be our voice of the Freedom Run!

Hometown Heroes is a weekly radio show honoring the men and women whose service and sacrifice have secured our freedom. Featuring interviews with veterans, primarily from the World War II generation, Hometown Heroes presents history through the perspectives of those who lived it. Host Paul Loeffler travels the country as a sportscaster, connecting with veterans from coast to coast. His experience has left him convinced of something you’ll hear him say frequently on the program:

"No matter where you’re from in this great country of ours, no matter how big, or how small your hometown might be, there are heroes around you.”

In 2013, Paul helped launch Central Valley Honor Flight, committed to taking WWII veterans to the National WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C., as part of the Honor Flight Network.
