We will be running through the beautiful streets of the historic Huntington neighborhood, soaking in the unique architecture of the homes as we fundraise to support the Jackson Community Development Corporation.  The Jackson CDC envisions the wholistic well-being of the Jackson neighborhood where residents are known, valued, and empowered to collaborate for the thriving of its people and place.  Check out our website, jacksoncdc.org, for much more information about our neighborhood and organization. 

To add to the fun, join the costume competition at 8:30am with winners being announced right before the race begins. Wearing costumes during the race is optional.

Event Details:

Jackson CDC 5K:

The race starts at Jackson Elementary School, Kerckhoff Ave gate, continues onto Huntington Blvd, and will finish back at the Kerckhoff Ave gate.  Runners will complete 2 laps to equal a 5K.  See map below.  The race begins at 9:00 am.  Strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs are welcome.   No street bikes or dogs may be part of the race.

Jackson CDC Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run: Recommended for kids ages 4 - 7

Open to ages 9 and under:

Kids fun run begins at 8:40 am.  It will take place on the Jackson Elementary School campus.  The race is 1/4 of a mile.  Parents must stay for the race.  No childcare is provided during the 5K.  T-shirts are not included in the Kids Run registration price, but are available for purchase at time of registration.

Costume Competition:

Costume competition starts at 8:30 am with winners being announced right before the race. Costumes may not have blood, horror, or weapons. Violators will be disqualified from the costume competition and asked to change before the race.  Wearing costumes during the race is optional.

Packet Pick Up:

Friday, Oct 23 at the Jackson House located at 3744 E. Kerckhoff Ave. between 4 - 7pm.

Race day registration and packet pick up begins at 8:00 am at Kerckhoff Ave gate of Jackson Elementary School.

Registration Fee Deadlines:

August 1 - September 12: 5K = $35 plus processing fee, Kids Fun Run =$10 plus processing fee

September 13 - October 10: 5K = $45 plus processing fee,  Kids Fun Run =$15 plus processing fee

October 11 - October 24: 5K = $55 plus processing fee,  Kids Fun Run =$20 plus processing fee

Shirt Deadline:

Register by Oct. 6 to guarantee your official Jackson Run t-shirt.
