January 13th, 2018- Winchell Cove 10k/10mi Trail Run. This is going to be a great event for all ability levels. The 10k course is perfect for those possibly wanting to try out trail running for the first time. The 10 mile course offers a bit more of a challenge in the way of a longer distance and a few hills. All 10k and 10 mile runners will receive a race shirt, finisher award, and more.
Winchell Cove 10k/10mile Trail Run follows a great route along the shore of Millerton Lake around Mckenzie Point and into Winchell Cove. The 10k course is great for those looking to explore trail-running for the first time, it has minimal elevation change (hills) and stunning views from the single track trail. The 10 mile route takes you further into and around Winchell Cove with a couple good hills along the way. The 10k is walker friendly. The course is out and back. All participants registered prior to race day will receive a race shirt. No refunds, race goes on rain or shine. Race entry fee includes parking at Millerton State Park, a parking pass will be provided to all participants prior to the event at bib pickup on Friday or Saturday morning. The parking pass must be displayed on your dash when you park inside Millerton Lake SRA. It is your responsibility to display your parking pass if you do not you will be cited by Park Rangers.

Better Odds is a non profit based in Fresno, Ca committed to increasing the odds of success for fatherless boys. Their mission is to encourage young fatherless males, or those young men lacking a positive male role model to become healthy, successful, and empowered adults through mentorship, educational programs, community service, recreational activities, and life skills training. All while demonstrating the importance of volunteering and contributing positively to the community.
Services: All our young men need something different at each stage in their life, at Better Odds we want to be able to make being there for them our #1 priority. We also plan on offering these service to all the boys within our organization.
