Description
- This year’s run course will originate at the Huntington Beach Central Library, located at 7111 Talbert Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92648. The course will run through Central Park and on a closed section of Goldenwest Street.
- Due to road closures, all runners arriving by car must enter the library parking lot via GOTHARD ST and TALBERT AVE.
- The race is on Sunday July 4, 2021. There will be an open start time format this year, with registrants choosing a 90-minute window in which to arrive and start the race at their convenience during their selected window. The windows begin at 6:30am, 8:00am, 9:30am and 11:00am. The race will conclude at 11:30am.
- The pre-race packet pick up will be held July 3rd from 10am - 4pm at Dick's Sporting Goods, located in Edinger Plaza at 7542 Edinger Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92647.
- We strongly encourage runners to pick up their packet the day before the race to minimize crowding at the race course registration/check-in. Late arrivals may miss their start window while waiting to pick up bib on race day.
- All runners who drive to the course must access the library parking lot via GOTHARD ST and TALBERT AVE. Cars will be checked at the entrance to confirm occupants’ start time window to ensure that we best balance the parking availability for all runners.
- We highly recommend you carpool and/or take public transit to the course, as It is likely that the lots will reach full capacity throughout the morning.
- OPEN START LINE FORMAT: We will be utilizing an open start line format. Please select one of the time frames below. You and your group can show up at any time during your selected time frame to start your race.
- The Course: This years course will be a 5k centered around Huntington Beach's Sports Complex and Goldenwest St. Exact course map will be published before packet pick up.
