The Rummage Run 5K/10K

THE RUMMAGE RUN 5k/10K - A Yard Sale themed race with the Purpose to Re-purpose & promote Recycling & caring for our planet's ecology!

Saturday , August 19, 2023 8am mass start 

Start/Finish staged at Jeffrey Trails Middle School  Course on the beautiful Jeffrey Trails paved running path. Easy on and off the 5 Freeway in Irvine. 

A GREAT CAUSE: This race helps fund sending our left over medals and shirts to villages Africa. Help Ware in the WORLD 5ks pop up in the remote areas Caren Ware ran a marathon on every continent.  Each one of Caren Ware's SO Cal's Best Themed Events supports needs on those continents and gifts health, hope, and outdoor activity to local needs. 

Jeffrey  Trails Middle School 155  Visions, Irvine, Ca. 92620  - Start and FINISH in the school parking LOT.

Bib pick up: 6:30am to 7:45am.

7:45 am Mass Start Kid's Dash & 1 Mile

8:am Mass Start 10K/5k

All course times tabulated whether a walker or runner..

9:00 am awards ceremony for 5k begins

9:20 am awards ceremony 10K begins

TIE DYE your own race shirt: Arrive early to tie dye your shirt and let it dry while you are running or do it after your race.  

COURSE: You will be running on the Jeffrey Trails running path, a beautifully landscaped path built with bridges over the roads. The 5k will be a southern loop and the 10K will add a northern additional 5k loop. 

NOTE: You will be running on a public path and will have a smattering of other runners, walkers, cyclists and dogs.  There is plenty of space to pass on this course.  Water stations at the turn around points 1.5 miles into the 5k and at the 3 mile and 4.5 mile on the 10K.  

Your shirt and bib pick up is on RACE DAY ONLY.  The entire race :parking, start, finish and bib and shirt packet pick up will be in JEFFREY TRAILS MIDDLE SCHOOL.. Jeffrey Trails Middle school  is 155 Visions, Irvine, Ca 92618.  Plenty of parking.  If lot does fill, additional parking is one block north at the Montessori school. 

There is no pre- packet pick up. You must wear the CHIPPED BIB and pull tag to be timed.   Wear on your FRONT.   

Your registration fee pays for a  RUMMAGE RUN shirt you can choose to TIE DYE at the event, A custom designed finisher medal, and the opportunity to place in your age division. Top two overall trophies and medals three deep in 5 year age spans for both the 5k and the 10K.  AWARDS AND REWARDS ! FUN theme. Great Competition.  And a perfect way to STAY MOTIVATED! 

Time to wear that shirt or shoes or worn out socks that has all the holes in them, but are still your favorite!  Or surprise us by showing up themed as trash or recycling! Welcome to the RUMMAGE RUN. We promise a GOOD TIME!  Invite your running buddies, family, and friends and help support us put on races in areas that have never had the opportunity. - Caren Ware

You can also make it a combo distance and run the 10k right after the 5k to get 15k .
