Join us for the inaugural Ignite the light 5K & Resource Fair!
Ignite The Light Of Hope
Ignite The Light Of Hope Foundation Brings Fresh Food to Families in Los Angeles, San Fernando, Sylmar and Pacoima.
We believe that access to nutritious food is a right, not a privilege.
Our mobile food pantry serves fresh vegetables, fruits, and non-perishable food items to families in need.

Race Info
Starting Line
Runners are encouraged to begin lining up no later than 8:15AM. The race will start on time at 8:30AM.
Line up according to your expected race pace. Faster runners should be positioned at the front of the start chute, while slower runners/walkers/ strollers start on the back. The goal is to have the start flow nice and safely. Remember you are being chip timed. If you are registering or bringing your pet, please start towards the back if possible.
Course Design
One loop route takes runners /walkers through iconic locations within the Hansen Dam area and finish at the historic aquatic center (see attached course route).
Recovery Water Stations
Water will be available at the halfway mark on the route and at the finish / start. There will be 2 opportunities for electrolytes, snacks and water.
First Aid Support
Roving first aid team available to cover the main portion of the 5K. First aid station also available in the main expo area.
Parking
Plenty of Parking within the Hansen Dam recreation area.
Overflow parking: located near the Hansen Dam Skate Park area at: 11770 Foothill Blvd.
Packet Pick Up
Includes a T-Shirt and finisher medal
