Welcome to the inaugural Shasta Lake Ultra and lTrail Half Marathon presented by Pacific Coast Trail Runs. In our continued pursuit of new races in new places, the new Shasta Lake will be epic with the Start and Finish Line on our friends private property. Just last year, we were in a drought and all lakes in California were at all time lows. Now, that Shasta Lake is full, you will be camping a few feet from the water cresting for your weekend pleasure. Not only is there the lake to play in, there is a swimming pool, bar, and restaurant all for this event.

We have reserved the entire Lakeshore Inn. You and your guests can enjoy all the amenities including a choice between:

  • 35 - Camping Sites
  • 10 - RV sites with FHU - Trailer Hookups
  • 10 - One or Two Bedroom Cottages
  • 3 - Airstreams
  • Other Open Space To Camp

To Book one of the above, then please email G r  e g  at t hetr ai lpor tal dot com.

The first year will feature a 50K and Half Marathon. Course Design was going smoothly until the amazing winter of 2022-23 delivered much needed water. Some of the original trail design has been damaged with no time frame to be completed by October of 223. For the first year, we will feature a "Clover Leaf Style". This is defined as one start/finish location with loops starting and finishing at Lakeshore Inn Resort. Perfect for crews, friends and families to relax and play in the lake or swimming pool while you are enjoying your tour of neighboring trails near Shasta Lake. The Half Marathon will feature two unique loops and the 50K will feature the same two loops repeated twice. To get to the 50K distance we will add an extension on the half marathon loop. Over time, as the race grows, so will volunteers to expand and extend the course as we garner more approval and resources to produce a magical event.

Thank you US Forest Service, Lakeshore Inn Resort, and the city of Lakehead at Shasta Lake for helping us get to the start line.
