They say strange things happen every Friday the 13th — but when it lands right before St. Patrick’s Day, you can bet the leprechauns are up to no good.
Join us for Camp Shamrocked: The Unlucky Run, a moonlit race where green fog meets grit, and superstition takes the scenic route down the Long Beach shoreline. Whether you’re chasing a PR or just chasing your luck, you’ll be part of something rare — a tribe that runs through the chaos with heart, humor, and a little mischief.

The course begins under the glowing CaliFlow arch near Belmont Pier, winding along the oceanfront path under the light of the moon (and maybe a little mischief).
Expect glowing green markers, fog and checkpoints straight out of Camp Shamrocked lore:
🍀 Cabin 13 — where luck runs thin
🪞 The Clover Crossing — every 13th step’s a gamble
🔥 The Campfire Finish — where legends light up the night
Half Marathon: 3 × 4.36-mile loops
10K: 2 × 5K out-and-backs
5K: 1 loop
Each station will be fully stocked with water, encouragement, and a few surprises to keep your spirits high and your luck questionable.

From Start Line to Finish Vibes
Our courses are open-pathway routes — meaning they’re held on pedestrian-friendly trails like beach paths, park loops, and river trails. They’re car-free, safe, and full of good energy. Whether you're racing for a PR or strolling in costume, you'll be on a scenic route with no traffic to worry about.
👟 Because these are shared public spaces, you may pass by other walkers, joggers, or casual strollers who didn’t sign up — but that’s part of the CaliFlow charm. Just stay aware and respectful of those around you.
🎧 Pro tip: Save the Metallica for your post-race drive. Please keep the volume low enough to hear voices and instructions around you.

Merge Opportunities is a Long Beach nonprofit that supports young adults ages 18 to 28 who face barriers to work. Many experience housing insecurity, are justice impacted, or are transitioning out of foster care. We provide paid training, mentorship, hands-on skill building, and direct job placement that helps young adults build confidence, purpose, and long-term career success.
Every dollar supports paid training, coaching, and job opportunities that help young adults in our community gain stability and move into real careers.
