5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth

Be part of a GROWing solution and help increase awareness of childhood growth disorders and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. The 5K Run & Walk for Kids’ Growth will include vendors, live entertainment, raffles, food, fun, and so much more! All ages and all walks of life are encouraged to participate. Each runner receives a Finisher Medal. Both runners and walkers will receive a T-shirt, food, and refreshments. 
 
The event will be timed (conventional timing) by Itz About Time and the course is packed dirt.

EVENT LOCATION DIRECTIONS:
Take Exit - Los Feliz Blvd
Road curves to the right
1st stop light is Crystal Springs Drive
Turn right
Go to 2nd Stop Sign (On your left is a Blue & White sign "Crystal Springs / Merry Go Round") - you will see our WALK FOR KIDS GROWTH DIRECTION SIGN & BALLOONS
Turn right
Follow the road all the way down to stop sign
You will face a baseball field (On your left is a tan building "Park Ranger Division") - you will see our WALK FOR KIDS GROWTH DIRECTION SIGN & BALLOONS
Turn left
Follow the road all the way around
Crystal Springs Picnic Area Sign (On your left)
Bathrooms are on the right side
Do not go around the circle
Keep right on circle path (going pass bathrooms on a narrow path)
Drive pass Playground
Drive pass the Fire Truck House
The parking area is on right, steps away from the event (no cost)

I. REGISTRATION FEES
Receive a 10% discount when you add 4 or more people to the cart. Use code MultiReg4 at checkout.

1. Adult Run/Walk (Age 18+) - $25.00
2. Youth Run/Walk (Age 11-17) - $15.00
3. Child Run/Walk (Age 10 and under) - $5.00
4. CHLA Family Run & Walk (All Ages) - $0  *(Children's Hospital past, present patients & families)

*PRICES INCREASE $5 ON OCTOBER 14, 2019 at 11:59 PM PDT

II. PACKET PICK UP
Packet Pick-Up will take place on event day, Saturday, December 14, 2019, from 8:00 am – 9:00 am at Griffith Park-Pettigrew, in Los Angeles.
Be prepared to show a valid form of ID when claiming your bib and shirt. As for teams, captains may pick-up for the entire group.
 

II. EVENT DAY SCHEDULE

8:00 AM | CHECK IN FOR EVERYONE, Packet Pick Up, Community Expo
9:00 AM | 5K Warm-Up 
9:35 AM | 5K Start (Gun Start)
9:40 AM | 5K Walk 

Refreshments and food will be provided in the Community Expo area.

 
III. HOW TO FIND THE EVENT LOCATION
Griffith Park - Pettigrew
4730 Crystal Springs Drive
Los Angeles, CA 90027

From the 5 southbound, exit Los Feliz (west) and make a right on Riverside. This is the entrance to the park. Keep going for about 1 mile and make a right to the Pote Baseball Field Area. (Before the Ranger Station and Merry Go Round.) Follow signs to the race.
 
From the 5 northbound, exit Los Feliz and make a left upon exit. Make a right on Riverside. This is the entrance to the park. Keep going for about 1 mile and make a right to the Pote Baseball Field Area. (Before the Ranger Station and Merry Go Round.) Follow signs to the race.

There are ample parking steps away from the event area.
